hrlogoHarvard Health Rounds

A monthly meetup on challenging health issues and solutions.

Healthcare is a powerhouse in Birmingham, yet the city and state also have some of the toughest healthcare challenges in the nation. That is why, as part of the overall educational mission of the Harvard Club, we are launching Health Rounds to explore and discuss health and health management challenges that demand innovation solutions.

Let's solve some problems!

We have reviewed a lot of problems over the past 5 months, now it's time to solve them. We're going to run an ideation session focused on the Social Determinants of Health problems shared in our session with Blue Cross and Blue Shield. See the deck presented by Blue Cross here.

Come out and stretch your creativity! Practice the art solving problems with some friends and colleagues. We will share these ideas back with the group.

Who knows... this could be the making Birmingham's first unicorn!

This free, monthly event provides a forum for learning about key health-related problems that require innovative solutions, and for encouraging such solutions. The target group is Harvard alumni and students interested in health problems and finding solutions; invited guests, including students, faculty, administrators, entrepreneurs, investors, and health care practitioners. Special interest groups around specific health areas could emerge. A speaker opens the discussion, followed by networking. Check-in begins at 5:15 PM; Speaker at 5:45. Unless otherwise scheduled, Health Rounds will be held on the third Tuesday of each month. Please reserve your seat by sending an email to John Whitman or going to Eventbrite for a free ticket.
