Harvard Health Rounds
Patrick Cooney, Co-founder and President of Simpeo.
Simpeo is a company that helps employers of any size offer their employees benefits on par with those of a large corporation. Prior to Simpeo, Patrick also served as an early employee in one of New York's most dynamic healthcare-focused startups, Blink Health.
Patrick will discuss lessons learned in starting and gaining funding for healthcare focused startups. He will also compare and contrast Birmingham with his experience in New York. As an innovator currently "doing it," this should be a worthwhile talk to attend.
About Harvard Health Rounds
Healthcare is a powerhouse of Birmingham and Alabama, yet the state also has some of the toughest healthcare challenges in the nation. That is why - as part of the overall mission of the Harvard Club to contribute to Alabama - we are launching Health Rounds to explore and discuss health and health management challenges that demand innovative solutions.
This free, monthly event provides a forum for people who are keen to find innovative, scalable solutions to those problems. The target group is members of the innovation and health community including students, faculty, administrators, entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, members of the Harvard community and health care practitioners.
Special interest groups around specific health areas could emerge.
The talk will begin at 5:45; please check in early.
Unless otherwise scheduled, Health Rounds will be held on the third Tuesday of each month. Send questions by email to John Whitman. Register at Eventbrite for a free ticket.
