Regional quarterly meet-ups help achieve one of the top priorities for 2022 as determined by the board--"to connect and network with fellow alumni both virtually and at in-person events and activities regionally and throughout the state."
Tuscaloosa Region
Tuscaloosa increased attendance of its meet-ups by 50 percent from last time, with three for lunch at Southern Ale House recently. Attending were on Pieter Vischer, PhD in Physics (right), Allen Henry, MBA, (middle) and Jim Zeanah, AB in Economics (left). They discussed applicant interviews, internships and increasing acceptance/enrollment ratio as well as some ideas for gathering next quarter. Allen reports his goal is to increase attendance by another 50 percent or 4 1/2, but he may have to shoot for a 66 percent increase so we don’t have to have a half attendee. Auburn Region

Huntsville Region
Huntsville regional rep Elizabeth Hamrick recently organized a lunch meet-up so area alumni could meet current student Michael Moorman, who interned this summer at Dynetics in Huntsville. Four Huntsville-area Club members joined Michael, but unfortunately there is no photographic evidence. The Huntsville area next meet-up will be Tuesday, September 20, 4:30-5:30 pm, at Just Love Coffee. Maybe you will attend and help everyone remember to take a group photo? Montgomery Region
Montgomery Regional Rep Dawn Marie Williams held her Q2 coffee at Prevail Union on August 3 (photo below). She got to know alumna Jamylle Carter, an alumna who lives in the Bay Area but was visiting her parents who live near Montgomery.
